Translead. Hyundai Translead is the North American trailer manufacturing
subsidiary of Hyundai, a South Korean-based engineering, construction
and manufacturing conglomerate with a global presence.
Hyundai
Translead operates a large state-of-the-art manufacturing facility
in Tijuana, Mexico. They are the only North American manufacturer of
van trailers to achieve ISO 9002 status - the recognized standard for
manufacturing excellence. Hyundai currently ranks number four by volume.
Their goal is to become number one. CapSource believes they are the
premier manufacturer of over-the-road trailers.
In addition, Hyundai's
location in Mexico affords CapSource competitive advantages in selling
to the Mexican market. Moreover, the fact Hyundai is the sole van and
refrigerated trailer manufacturer located on the West Coast affords
CapSource competitive advantages in selling to the California market.
CapSource chose
to become Hyundai's dealer partner for these reasons as well as our
belief they have the commitment, management and financial resources
to achieve their objectives.
CapSource is the
largest distributor of Hyundai trailers in North America. In 2005, CapSource's
U.S. subsidiary, Prime Time Trailers, ranked #1 in unit volume and our
Mexican subsidiary, RESALTA ranked #1 in dollar volume. In 2005, RESALTA
was Hyundai's #1 parts distributor.
CapSource intends
to establish relationships with premier manufacturers of other types
of equipment - flat bed trailers, tank trailers, dump trailers and agricultural
trailers - grain hoppers and livestock trailers.
